Harnai - Beaches Seaforts Temples and more..

The beautiful Harnai beach and the fish auction is the major attraction in Harnai, however there are many sightseeing options near Harnai making it an ideal destination for a long weekend trip. A visit to either the Suvarnadurg or Kanakdurg sea-forts is certainly warranted while a visit to the Kadyavarcha Ganpati temple in Anjarle Mahalakshmi temple or Yaqub baba durgah in Kelshi  can be done to answer the relegious calling!

One of the most popular beaches in Dapoli, Harnai is a long flat beach with the Suvarnadurg fort looming in the horizons on the northern side and the vast expanse of sandy beach extending upto Karde and further to the southern side.

The fish auction which happens at the Harnai fishing harbour just a 5 minutes drive away from Dr Dalvis Ashiyana i also a very popular attraction. The fish auctions at Harnai happen every day at about 6 pm when all the fishing boats return and business worth lakhs is done in just a few minutes.

Suvarnadurg the majestic sea fort can also be visited from Harnai harbour. A rocky island, Suvarnadurg is about 8 acres big with stone wall bastions. The sea-gate depicts carved figures of a tiger eagle and elephants. Suvarnadurg is cetainly a must visit during your stay at Dr Dalvi's Ashiyana.
